David S. Leyman was born in Devon, England, United Kingdom.  

He joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) when he was sixteen and stayed for twenty seven years.  

After leaving the RAF, he has been teaching aircraft engineering to students / apprentices / engineers from all over the world.

He has three children and three grandchildren.  He is now semi-retired and resides in Malaysia to pursue his passion: writing.

He writes technical and science fiction/fantasy books. He also loves drawing cartoons - as illustrated throughout his technical books and his websites.
